A "true success story" in Kansas Wildlife Management has been re-introduction of the "Eastern Wild Turkey". On the banks of the Neosho River, near Erie, Kansas, was the location of some of the first birds released by Fish & Game Officers. Abundant food supply, good coverage, and plenty of roosting along the river ways all has enabled the "Eastern Wild Turkey" to expand its range throughout Southeast Kansas. With Lil' Toledo Lodge being located right in the heart of this release effort, our bird population is second to none! With 10,000 acres of prime hunting land, we can offer you some of the finest wild turkey hunting in the world. The Spring Turkey Season will be exciting at Lil' Toledo Lodge. We have a large number of Eastern Turkeys that have very limited hunting pressure.

Types of Hunts Available

First Time Turkey - Let us take you through the basics: Turkey hunting safety, the right gear, turkey habits, field tips, and simple calling techniques, followed by a guided trip to the field. For young or old alike, the memories will last a lifetime!

Long Beard Stalker - For the seasoned turkey hunter with calling experience, our guides can put you on roosted birds and let you test your skill. The turkeys are here... the challenge is yours!

Shotgunners, whether "modern" or "muzzle loading", can tune-up on our 20-station sporting clays course. Archery hunters are always welcome!

NOTE: "TOP TOM" for our 2003 season was 32 lbs... with all hunters filling tags!
